everything worked great. i would have given it all 5 stars if it had included a small pair of plastic tweezers for inserting the battery connectors. if you have big hands and fingers its kind of hard to get in there properly.

The battery was a challenge to install but I did it, Unfortunately the hard drive failed 2 weeks after I installed it. So I purchased an Ipod touch to replace it.

About a week ago I replaced my battery and was happy to see that my
iPod was able to boot once again. But after resyncing with iTunes
and charging, I found out this product wouldn't keep a charge.
Maybe there is something else wrong with my iPod, but I cannot
imagine what part in it, other than the battery itself, could stop
the battery from holding a charge. The new battery doesn't keep the
charge.
Secondly, the green plastics used to pry open the iPod are not well
made. These tools are double sided so when I trying using it, the
other side would dig into my palm; very uncomfortable. I also
imagine there are other replacement batteries out there that use a
higher quality tool.

Didn't hear that it was backordered until I emailed to ask, but when shipped I got it quickly and was able to change the battery with ease.

This battery replacement for my Ipod Video works great, i went from
30min of battery life to close to 8hours again.
The replacement is simple enough if you have experience working
with electronics, if you dont then pay up the fee to get it
replaced or risk bricking your ipod for good.
